Myth busting

Myth: “The prison will be located well up Birralee Road and won't be viewable from the Bass Highway.”

Reality: As shown on the aerial photo on the home page, the proposed site is just off the highway and will be viewable from the highway, particularly when travelling east.

 


Myth: “The prison will create jobs for Westbury”

Reality:“... Most jobs will be filled by people travelling from Launceston, not Westbury....”

Myth: “Westbury property values won’t go down because of the prison”
